Tried out a new pattern called "Hot Cakes". Love the red and green together. You can't see it in the pic but it has just a touch of metallic gold on the tops. There's just something about polka dots I can't get enough of!
Aren't they cute?? They're in the shop if you want to make them yours!

Confetti Quilt
I was inspired by the quilts I saw on Flicker here and decided to try my own. Some call it "ticker tape" but I think "confetti quilt" has a nicer ring to it! I raided my stash of scraps for colours that would look good in my living room. Then I used a bit of homespun for the background, made a quilt sandwich, and sewed on the pieces.
It came together incredibly fast because you quilt as you go. Fun way to spend a Saturday morning!

This quilt top has been finished forever! It came together quickly but I had to wait for the backing from Down Shadow Lane to clear customs...it took almost 3 weeks! It was a relief to get it quilted up and bound. I just love the Tweet Tweet line from Keiki. It's so cheerful and fun for kids without being babyish. I've done about 5 quilts in it; I have enough scraps that you'll see at least one more!
A little bit of sun peeked through the November clouds today so I was able to take a few pics. It's now up for sale in the shop here.

After a month of spinning my wheels because of Thanksgiving (with both sides of the family) and a course for work, it feels so good to get behind the ol' Husky. It's always so satisfying to wrap up one of my babies and send it out into the world. This one's headed to Pennsylvania. I hope it keeps Evangeline warm all through this winter and many more.
